This Fridge is from Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands.
This is our fridge, its located in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands and it’s the centre of our office. Placed in our small kitchen. It’s also the ugliest place of our office. No design, just convenience. It is used by 10. We store short-term items mostly. Things that are used within a few days. The only problem arrises when we forget what we’ve stored. It’s quite empty today. It’s funny to see the differences of the eating habits between ten people.

Hi, we live in the middle of the Netherlands. It’s the area where all the dutch fruits come from. In the right upper corner is my never ending supply of soups and apple juice. Every saterday I see what vegetables can be cooked to a nice soup and what juices or jams can be made. It’s a beautiful opposite to my city working life. The pot on the low shelve is a stew to make sure my husband doesn’t only stick to sandwiches with cheese and tomatoes when I am not there at night : - )

This Fridge is from Vreeland, The Netherlands.
My fridge is located in Vreeland, The Netherlands and is never empty. My fridge in fact is a little bit too big. We keep on stuffing food in it and emptying it as ‘the date’ expires. Families with over 10 children have this kind of fridge and still they only need to do groceries once a week. We are only with the two of us…Alcohol is always present in our fridge, preferably Champaign and white wine. Delicious! Sambal is also present at all times. Everything could use a little spicing up we think!

This is my poor empty fridge. Stock of alcohol is at an all time low since my recent birthday party. And I am on a diet, so I do not keep tempting food in the fridge. Hence the low fat milk, yoghurt and the salad and carrots. I am a coca cola light addict, so I always keep stock of that. Being a vegatarian, I do not have any meat in the fridge, and buy my fish on the day I eat it. Pay attention to some obscure jars in the back, like an eggplant spread handcarried from Sicily, a dried plum jam bought on Hauptbahnhof Frankfurt and some homemade curries from Calcutta. Pleasant reminders of past trips, not so pleasant to eat anymore I guess. Just keep them for decoration.

Jan’s Fridge

My fridge looks like a mess. It is. But it’s a good mess. I love good food and a cook a lot. My favourite is spicy asian food and my specialty is authentic thai food. In the left upper corner you can see Trung Nguyen coffee from Vietnam. Vietnamese coffee is in my opinion the best in the world. B.t.w. i just ordered a couple of hand tailored suits in Vietnam. So it’s definitely true. You are what you eat.
