Fridge no. 1 from Louis and Linda
These are some pictures of our number 1 fridge which is located in the kitchen. The other one is in our disused bathroom, now utility room. This extra fridge is used to store bulk items such as wine, beer and milk. The more interesting stuff is in fridge no. 1. We live in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands, but we both love to travel. As we also love eating, we often take foodstuffs from abroad. Interestingly, the best Thai chili sauce comes from Sweden and we always try to have a bottle in our fridge. I cannot live without milk and there’s always Indonesian Sambal and peanut sauce. Oh, and capers! And sherry, of course, I love sherry. Well, see for yourself. While I was taking the pictures I realized that there are hardly any veggies – I do have some cucumber and tomatoes but it’s better not to store them in the fridge..

Hi I am Karin that’s my real name. Married to Adrian. We, born and bred Dutch, live in Zwolle, a medieval town in the Netherlands together with my two youngest sons. We each have a son who left the house and live on their own, and Adrian has two more sons who live with their mother. Sometimes we have a lot of mouths to feed. The boys (yes, SIX boys) all love my lasagna. And I love cooking. Comments to the pictures (from left to right):
1) This a general overview. This is a family fridge so there are things in there I would never buy ore at.
2) We are never without milk. There is only on carton in the fridge but we store at least 10 others in the garage.

Mister Wilson’s Fridge

My bosses just had a birthday party this weekend, hence the decoration in the room and the many cheeses in the fridge. Our fridge is always filled. My boss is Chinese after all. Her motto is: ‘There should always be enough food in the house in case of sudden visitors…’. she always makes sure there are enough vegetables and fruit. I don’t like vegatbales myself. The Turkish and Indonsian shop are right across the street, so they buy fruit vegetables and fruit every two days. Furthermore there are always bottles of ice cold water (for Honkie), eggs (for Bass) and fresh meat (for me) ready for use. In the door there are often sauces and herbes: lemon juice, wasabi, Thai shrimp paste, Lee Kum Oyster sauce, Char sui sauce, (santen) creamed cocunut and so on.

Hi there, nice idea! I got your link from Hanneke Groenteman’s Weblog. So this is Margot’s Fridge from Zutphen, The Netherlands. It looks nice and tidy. We defrosted it last week, so the freezer is nearly empty. Lots of space to refill it with all kinds of delicious ice creams! Usually there is a box with French cheeses in it however I moved it to the terrace. It smelled horrible. Each time the door opened a terrible smell came out of my clean fridge. I am looking forward to see my entry online and I am curious how all other fridges look like. I will send the link to friends!. Good luck.
