This Fridge is from Los Teques, Venezuela

I’m Sandra, my hometown is Los Teques, Venezuela. I live on my own and the fridge is only mine. My fridge is on the kitchen, between the pantry and laundry areas, next to the doorway. I always keep fruits, veggies, meat, poultry, ham and cheese. I have a few peculiarities on my grocery shopping habits, like smoked turkey breast (only type of ham I eat), four kinds of cheese (Colonia from Uruguay, goat with herbs, pecorino with pepper and brie), strawberries produced on a nearby town, apples and ginger. The upper shelf is for water and already made food, the middle one is for cheese, butter, ham and such, the lower one is for fruits and herbs. The drawers are for veggies. On the door I keep the small fruits where the cheese should be, the lemons on the eggs keeper (cause I’m allergic to eggs), yougurt, olives, capers and down you can see a few bottles, ketchup, mustard, malt, barbecue sauce. I’m not such a fan of pre-packed food. On the freezer I keep the bread, meat, poultry, frozen veggies, wieners and home made soup and black beans.

The fridge is generally stocked by Mum. Has a lot of fresh vegetables, vessels of boiled milk and a lot of leftovers! Home made butter and cream and a couple of bottles of wine are other staples. The freezer generally has lots of frozen meats (currently depleted) and definitely some ice cream.
Saw the website when a friend posted it on facebook. It’s certainly a fun project!

My name is Ashlee and this is my fridge. It’s located in Ames, Iowa, United States. Though it may not seem like an “everyday item”, I face a daily battle of keeping my kitten, Darwin, and his sister, Tesla, out of the fridge. In this picture, Darwin has found a new, even more fun place to be in the fridge; he’s just the right size for a soda can box. He’s been distraught lately as I’ve stopped drinking soda so he’s lost that hiding place. As for the food there are left overs, lots! of soda, whole milk, juice, cottage cheese, butter, parsley, spinach, and a wonderful wasabi mayo sauce from a Rachel Ray cookbook.

You see the fridge of four french and one lithuanian students, spending summer in small village of France, Huelgoat. We are doing our intership in art gallery, living and eating all together and shearing one fridge, as well. Normally we don’t have too much time to cook or do shopping. BUT recently we had a visit of Iris family and here you go- fridge full of the best vegetables, desserts, cheeses and many other eatable things! As all food will never go in the fridge, we keep some near the fridge. C’est la fête!

I am obsessed with other peoples fridges so when I stumbled across this site I was delighted! Every time I go visit my friends house I go straight to their fridge, in fact even at home first thing I do is pull up a chair and sit in front of my fridge! Even if i’m not hungry I just have a nosey.

I am a chef and I love food! I also have a food blog (www.girlwhoatetheworld.blogspot.com) . I am 24 years old and live with my stepdad and sisters. This fridge is ALL my stuff, totally seperate from my families as we all have way too much food.
