Kaita and Uno’s Fridge
This is a Fridge from: The Netherlands |

This Fridge is from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
We make a dinner for almost every evening by ourself. Mostly our main meal is Japanese food (not only traditional way as ‘Sushi’ but evenhealthy…). In our small fridge, there are three types of’Miso’ (Japanese typical soybean paste) for soup, seasoning, sauceand etc…they are stocked always. And naturally we eat kind of Dutchfoods as well; like as peanuts butter, hagelslag (chocolateflakes…typical dutch!), mayonnaise, potato, cheese, pannekoek and of course Dutch beer!!

My parents are Dutch - and I remember growing up
eating hagelslag - but I don’t see it in your fridge.
Do they come in both flakes and sprinkles?
I order them for Dad (who is 93) once in a while
from a Dutch store in Conn - and we live in New Jersey.
I wish I could enlarge the picture to be able to read
the other ingredients.

Hi, Johanna:
Hagelslag isn’t usually kept in the fridge, unless one is trying to keep bugs out, perhaps ?
You probably already know that it comes in a small box, and is shaken (sprinkled) on buttered bread.
Google Albert Heijn supermarket on line. They must have a website, and I’m sure they’ll be willing to point you in the right direction.
Groetjes!
